The Salad

The go-to, never-fails salad. Adapted from Ann Stringer.

Ingredients

  • Vinagrette
  • 1 cup evoo
  • ⅔ cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, smash and mince up
  • 1 dash of cayenne
  • 1 heavy dash of Cholula Chipotle (or hot sauce of choice)
  • 1 tsp dried mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Salad Fixings
  • 1 small red onion, slice thinly in half moons
  • Mixed greens of choice
  • Pistachios
  • Dried cranberries
  • 1 avocado, thin slices
  • Small block of feta

Method

  1. Place mixed greens in large bowl. Mix in nuts and berries to desired ratio.
  2. Add onion slices
  3. Toss the salad with vinaigrette, then add in avocado and crumble feta on top.
